About Dr. Brandes

Jan Lewis Brandes, MD, has a clinical appointment in the Department of Neurology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. She heads the Nashville Neuroscience Group and is the consulting neurologist with The Otology
Group in Nashville. Prior to receiving her medical degree at Vanderbilt
University School of Medicine, Dr. Brandes attended the Robert Koch Institute
of Virology, Free University, in Berlin, Germany, as a Fulbright Scholar.

For more than 10 years, Dr. Brandes has been involved in clinical trials
as principal or co-principal investigator, primarily examining issues in
migraine including acute treatment and menstrual migraine.

Dr. Brandes is a Fellow of the American Headache Society and
the American Academy of Neurology. She is a past-president of
the American Council for Headache Education (ACHE) and a
former member of the Board of Directors of the
American Headache Society.
